New baby

We have a new baby, I say we but I really mean Sally (daughter), she is looking after the animals in the Wildlife hospital whilst the lady who usually runs it is off on holiday, and today has come home with a day old baby hedgehog.  He really is very cute, had no spines this morning, but by tonight has little white spines all over him.  She is feeding him every hour (and that's got to carry on through the night!!!)  I just hope he makes it, he really is so very tiny, blind and still has a bit of his umbilical cord attached.  I don't know whether or not he will survive, but Sally is doing everything she can so here's hoping......

This picture was taken this morning when the tiny soul was handed in to the Wildlife hospital, the following picture is of him tonight at 8.45 when his spines have grown considerably.
