Weekend bliss

I have had the most lovely weekend away, staying with a very good friend of mine, Katrina. She moved away from this area 2 years ago, and although I miss her terribly, it is great fun to get together whenever we can to swap ideas, drink lots of red wine (you just know it has to be done!) and do some sewing and as much retail therapy as we can fit in.

On Sunday I went to a quilt show put on by Canalside Quilters in Uppermill, just outside Saddleworth Moor. The show was lovely, and here is Pat with her marvellous quilt. The colours were really vibrant, and she has done an absolutely lovely job on this quilt. Considering she has only just started quilting, I think she is doing wonderful things. I can't wait to see what she produces next - keep going Pat.

I bought some lovely fabric whilst away, yes I know I sell fabric myself, but it's just not the same as oohing and aahing over different patterns and fabrics, that you have not ordered in yourself, and these things just have to be done, so there it is I bought a few bits and pieces. My husband thinks I am totally crazy and I go out of my way to prove him right. Bless him though he does like a good quilt show, I'm sure it's all the attention he gets from the ladies present!!!

Hi Kate, posted this on the wrong date!It was lovely to see you again and I was astounded to see my quilt on your blog!I am so glad you liked it.Hopefully,my next one "Because a leaf falls, a tree does not die" will turn out ok. Its trial and error. Loved your workshop on the clock, which now has pride of place in my sewing room. Wishes to t'other half too.
