I was shocked, thrilled, excited and totally surprised to open my latest issue of Popular Patchwork and see one of my quilts in it. Yes I ran about a bit, shouting " I'm famous, anyone want an autograph?" until my husband told me to stop ranting and raving and come back down to earth, get the kettle on and make him a cuppa (you can always rely on a man to tell it how it is !!) Anyhow, I have to say that I am stilled chuffed to bits to have one of my quilts in a national magazine. My Father-in-Law, who the quilt was made for was over the moon to have his quilt mentioned so that's definitely a bonus.
Ann and I have spent this afternoon setting up an exhibition in Lockerbie (it's the music and arts festival this weekend) so we will be there all day tomorrow. I intend to take some hand quilting with me and Ann will be taking her machine, so we can demonstrate to our hearts content. Here's hoping for a busy day!!
