These two ATC's complete the 4/4 swap on the theme of the Four Elements. Both of these are made from fabric. The Earth element is a piece of organza on top of wadding, stitched into with metallic threads and beaded. The central circle is a silk cocoon painted with Stewart Gill alchemy paints.
The Fire Element is painted tyvek on top of tissue paper. The tyvek has been heated only slightly, then painted again with fabric dyes, beaded and stitched onto the main piece. The glitter strands look multicoloured in the scan, but are all silver to the naked eye.
I have enjoyed doing these ATC's, but had a bit of a problem with deciding how to show the elements best, I'm not sure they are exactly what I had in mind, but I suppose art changes as you are doing it, depending on your mood etc.

I love these so much, and the other two as well. I can't believe you've only just started making ATCs, you are a natural.
