Well I feel as if we are well into Autumn already, even though we are not out of August just yet. It has been stated today that it's been the wettest summer for 100 years! Not since 1912 has there been so much rain, and I think the majority of it has fallen in Dumfries !
So getting the feeling that it's autumnal, gets me feeling that I should be quilting something in browns, rusts, greens and gold, typical fall colours. Just need to find the right pattern for the job and I'll be off, sewing like mad.
The Great Northern Quilt Show in Harrogate beckons on Saturday. I have arranged a bus for my quilting group of ladies, and we are all looking forward to being inspired by the beautiful quilts that no doubt will be on show, as well as the many traders who will be attending. I always feel a bit like a kiddie in a sweetie shop, I want everything and get very excited at the thought of it.
Classes are running well, and unlike some groups we keep going throughout the summer months, probably because we're all a bit batty, and just for the fact that we enjoy each others company and the quilting too. Below is a list of the current classes on offer.
