Quilt Maniac

I have just spent the last 24 hrs sewing hanging sleeves onto quilts to display at an exhibition that Thistle Be are having tomorrow at the Station Hotel in Dumfries. Well OK I have exaggerated a bit, maybe not the whole 24 hrs but it sure feels like it!!! I think that maybe I should be taking Sanatogen or perhaps Valium would be a better idea- by the time I make my mind up I'll be too old to care.

I have at last sorted out my camera - hoorah. Don't ask what was wrong, something to do with software and hardware etc etc. It's all double dutch to me. Anyway suffice to say I am now able to get pictures back onto the site.

This picture is of a sampler quilt that I am in the process of making for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary, I have been making it for about 2 months now, and am doing a quilt as you go, which I have to say I really like doing. I love hand quilting so am quite happy to sit in the evenings and quilt away. I have made the borders in a pattern called Delectable Mountains which is really lovely, so I can't wait to get it finished.
The little wallhanging below is based on The African Thorn Tree designed by Gloria Loughman, and it was a joy to make. It took hardly any time at all even though it has a considerable amount of free machining on it.
