Well, I've survived this week on my own, and now it's time for feet up and some hand sewing.
It has been fairly quiet at the shop, possibly because some people must have thought we wouldn't be open if Ann was away, so at least I managed to get some sewing done. Wednesday night saw the class making log cabin chicken doorstops. They all got on really well and some lovely chickens were being produced, I can't wait to see the end results.
Thursday's class was on Altered Art. So we were making ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and fabric postcards. It has got to have been the messiest class ever, with bits of glitter, glue dots, ribbon, paper, cards, material, feathers, beads etc. etc. all over the place, but I have to say that everyone had a really great day and some very artistic pieces were made, all very beautiful.
Today has been a day of reverse applique, lovely to do and so therapeutic, I just love hand sewing. Tonight I will be sewing clamshells whilst watching some drivel on the TV - ah can't wait....
