Back to Work

Well I officially restarted work today. At last I've got myself in the mood for sewing again, and can't wait to get going. For anyone who knows me they will be quite surprised to hear that I haven't spent the whole of the Xmas break up to my neck in material and pins. Well I thought I'd have a change and have been up to my neck in food and booze, so needless to say I'm off to Weight Watchers in a couple of minutes to get the dreaded "Oh you've obviously had a good time over the festive period then" comment from the leader (who by the way is lovely) and far too slim for her own good - you can tell I'm just jealous!!! But seriously though keeping myself busy with sewing is probably a really good thing to do... I try not to eat and sew (although it has been known, as Ann will say to balance a sarnie, a cuppa and still manage to hand sew without getting either mixed up, it takes years of practice you know!!

Today has been a day of sorting out the shop and reorganising the stock. So I am now really looking forward to a very productive year. Ann and I have been given permission to produce a quilt from the designs of Shetland Silvercraft jewellry, and it is coming along very well. We hope to be able to display it up in Shetland in the near future and we will also be doing classes on it, so watch this space and I will post a photo soon.
